Mr. David Heffernan

David Heffernan is the Director of Athletics as well as the Physical Education teacher at Cathedral High School. He recently received a degree in Philosophy from the University of St. Thomas and currently is completing his Masters in the same program. Through his studies in Philosophy, Mr. Heffernan seeks to show the profound bridging of the spiritual, intellectual, and physical attributes of the human person and their importance to flourishing into the image of God we were created to be. Mr. Heffernan’s athletic career centers around rugby, which he has been involved in for the last 12 years and counting, competing from grassroot clubs all the way to the MLR and even earning spots in Olympic trials. He and his wife are parishioners at Our Lady of Walsingham, and recently have been blessed with their first child, Cora.
